We’re situated amongst the vibrant and engaging communities of the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut. Visit Millerton, Amenia or Wassaic, NY and Sharon, CT by complimentary bicycle. Zipline Catamount in summer or ski it in winter. Hike, fly fish, ride horseback, gravel or mountain bike, take a farm tour, visit a distillery, a bookstore or any number of beautiful shops nearby. Truly, there is something for everyone. Troutbeck is active with arts and cultural programming, with curated events on property and off all year.

11/6 — Troutbeck Sympsium Speaker Series #2: Taha Clayton

Artist Taha Clayton joins us on the final night of his stunning show — The Cloth (curated by Will Hutnick in partnership with The Wassaic Project) — for the second installment of our speaker series.
Taha's work, particularly for The Cloth, explores themes central to Black history, such as exploitation, value, strength, memory and joy. His discussion of The Cloth aligns with the Troutbeck Symposium's emphasis on bringing untold stories to light.

11/18 — New Art on view: Eric Hibit, Flowers from Canada

As part of our ongoing art collabration with the Wassic Project, Troutbeck is delighted to announce Eric Hibit, Flowers From Canada, a solo show curated by Will Hutnick.

As the name suggests, Hibit's show is flower-focused, and is inspired by time spent intimately observing flowers in a Canadian public garden, before others were allowed in. Hibit's floral curiosity dovetails gracefully with Troutbeck's long history of horticulture.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 18th, 5-7pm.

11/19 — Falconry . . . Including Owls

If you've never met a falcon up close, it's time. The beloved owls and hawks of TC Bird Management return to provide our in-house guests and members an immersive opportunity to experience and learn about birds of prey.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Troutbeck will be a blended format: a set first course, with a choice of your main course protein, such as turkey, steelhead trout or vegetarian, with plentiful sides served family style and a set dessert.
